A Message from Your ABA President , Jodi Steeves

2025/2026 Term

Hi Aldergrove friends,

As we near the end of 2025, I’m incredibly honoured to serve as President of the Aldergrove Business Association. This year, my focus is all about connection, helping our businesses and residents build strong relationships and keeping our hard earned dollars right here in our community.

We all know 2025 hasn’t been easy. The new tariffs that came into effect in March have put real pressure on both local businesses and households. That’s why now, more than ever, it’s important we support each other and do what we can to keep our local economy strong.

One of the ways we’re doing that is through our Shop Local Campaign, running from November 12 to December 12, 2025. We’re encouraging residents to shop at their favourite Aldergrove businesses and we’ve added a little fun incentive! Just text a photo of your receipt (over $25) to 604-833-5634, and you’ll be entered into our daily draw to win a $25 gift card to a local shop or service.

We believe kindness builds community. It’s one of the ABA’s core values and it shows in everything we do. From the student-designed banners you’ve seen hanging through town, to volunteering with Meals on Wheels, painting and cleaning up local buildings, or our cherished Kids for Kindness program (where local kids lend a hand at businesses, help serve seniors lunch, or even feed animals at the zoo!) it all comes back to showing up for one another.

This year, I’m launching a “YES” campaign encouraging all of us as ABA members to say yes to helping where we can. Whether it’s lending a hand, mentoring a new business owner, or simply choosing to shop local every “yes” adds up.

And if you’re not yet a member we’d love to welcome you. Whether you’re a business owner, manager, employee, or a resident looking to get involved, the ABA is a place for people who care about Aldergrove. Come meet your neighbours, promote your business or cause, and be part of something meaningful.

Let’s make 2025/2026 a year of resilience, connection, and community.

Warm regards,

Jodi Steeves

President, Aldergrove Business Association (ABA)
