DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Earth Day 2016\, The ABA is hosting the Aldergrove edition of the next Clean Up Langley Day on Saturday April 23\, 2016 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. By participating in Cleanup Langley Day\, you can be part of a team effort to keep our town clean. \nWe need your help! Volunteers will be picking up litter on our streets\, parks\, trails\, and creeks across the Township. A representative from the Bank of Canada will also be attending to provide information on how to detect fake currency\, and the two will share other useful tips on how to prevent shoplifting / theft and how to deal with suspects. \nThe presentation will be a shortened version of a longer\, more comprehensive one that Cpl. Beyhaghi is offering to all Aldergrove businesses and their employees. DESCRIPTION:Easter is meant to be a joyous time of year\, but for children in our community experiencing emotional or financial hardships\, the upcoming Easter holiday can be a challenging time. In an attempt to bring a little happiness this Easter\, local Discovery Toys Educational Consultants are acquiring charitable donations to assemble Easter baskets for children of single moms who belong to the YWCA and Encompass’ Single Mothers Group. \nThe coordinators are asking individuals and businesses throughout the community to contribute $30 for each basket. Sponsors who donate over $100 will have their name/logo posted on our Facebook website banner and ads (tax receipts available upon request for donations over $100).
