DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Earth Day 2016\, The ABA is hosting the Aldergrove edition of the next Clean Up Langley Day on Saturday April 23\, 2016 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. By participating in Cleanup Langley Day\, you can be part of a team effort to keep our town clean. \nWe need your help! Volunteers will be picking up litter on our streets\, parks\, trails\, and creeks across the Township. DESCRIPTION:BC Buy Local Week happens November 30 to December 6\, 2015! \nThe goal of the BC Buy Local Campaign is to highlight locally owned\, made and grown products\, and to grow BC’s local economies by encouraging the public to consider their purchase power by shopping and supporting local businesses during that week. \nBusinesses in Aldergrove are encouraged to participate in the BC Buy Local Week campaign by signing up via the Township of Langley website at www.tol.ca/BuyLocal.  \nBy signing up\, local businesses will be provided with access to free\, customized marketing materials and to outreach activities provided by the Township. Participating businesses will also receive campaign buttons for their employees to wear through the week. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday Nov. 12 as Cpl. Mohammad Beyhaghi\, Langley RCMP’s Community Liaison Officer for Aldergrove\, presents on “Preventing Theft & Shoplifting in Aldergrove”. A representative from the Bank of Canada will also be attending to provide information on how to detect fake currency\, and the two will share other useful tips on how to prevent shoplifting / theft and how to deal with suspects. \nThe presentation will be a shortened version of a longer\, more comprehensive one that Cpl. Beyhaghi is offering to all Aldergrove businesses and their employees. The sessions can be booked for larger individual stores with many employees\, or can be organized to take place with the employees from several smaller businesses attending.
