DESCRIPTION:Langley Gives and Langley Volunteers will be organizing “Giving Tuesday” for November 28 in Aldergrove! \nMost people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday – two days that are good for the economy. Giving Tuesday is a growing Canadian movement for giving and volunteering\, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday is the ‘opening day of the giving season\,’ a day where charities\, companies and individuals join together to share commitments\, rally for favourite causes and think about others. \nFour Giving Tuesday events are being planned throughout Langley. The goal of the day is to raise awareness of the non-profit organizations that service Langley and how residents and businesses can get involved. \nLangley Volunteers will be hosting a pancake breakfast (pancakes\, sausages\, juice and coffee or tea) for the Aldergrove / Murrayville area from 7:00 am – 10:00 am at the Aldergrove Legion. Tables will be set up for people who would like to eat inside\, and a station will be set up outside for ‘Drive Through’ service. Food and drinks are by donation. \nLangley Volunteers will also accept personal donations to your organization of choice; any undesignated donations will go towards sustaining Giving Tuesday in the years to come. \nThe Langley Gives committee consists of representatives from Langley Hospice\, Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation\, Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce\, MLA Rich Coleman’s office\, City of Langley\, Langley Care Foundation\, School District Foundation and Langley Volunteers.
