Director

This is where she was first introduced to the importance of supporting the community that supports you. During those years she joined the Aldergrove Festival Days Society, the Aldergrove Community Enhancement Society, Aldergrove Agricultural Association, Aldergrove Elks and the Rotary Club of Aldergrove. Meeting great people and building relationships with other businesses and organizations has always been a passion for Karen.
In 2002, Karen and her husband Bob took a step into the world of restaurateurs with their first restaurant – El Restaurante Del Pollo, in Aldergrove (2002-2007), then Chicken Bob’s Cantina, in White Rock (2008-2010). Bob and Karen then operated Bob’s Bar n’ Grill in Aldergrove for several years.
Bob and Karen’s 4 kids have all worked in one or all of their restaurants and appreciate the importance of customer service.
“Getting involved and volunteering in the community you work in is a must”, says Karen. There are many opportunities to participate, whether you have a lot of spare time or a little. Ask around and you’ll find an organization that you will be proud to serve!
